Welcome to our 22 new members of the national jury!

The members of the CNVVF jury met on Tuesday, April 16, in Paris for an extensive training session and to share their experiences regarding the evaluation criteria.

Using a comprehensive evaluation grid based on 68 criteria, the jury members play an active role in preserving the environment and plant diversity in our communities.

What is their mission?

✅ Evaluate the municipality’s policy on biodiversity and the balance between nature and urban development
✅ Evaluate the commitment to sustainable and environmentally friendly practices
✅ Evaluate the management of natural resources, waste, and the diversity of the municipality’s plant heritage
✅ Measure the environmental awareness initiatives and campaigns carried out by municipalities to engage the public

Since the label was created 65 years ago, its criteria have evolved to take into account major environmental challenges, particularly initiatives supporting the ecological transition.

Every three years, a panel of four experts evaluates or reevaluates cities and towns to determine the level of the certification awarded.

The members of the national jury are part of a team of nearly 2,000 volunteers spread across the country.

Thank you all for your dedication!
