These collaborations strengthen the label’s expertise, enrich strategic planning, and help expand its reach nationwide. By combining expertise and perspectives, these partnerships help make the living environment a key driver of regional transitions.
VALHOR
The French Interprofessional Association for Horticulture, Floristry, and Landscaping
It brings together professional organizations representing the production, marketing, and landscaping sectors. It conducts studies, supports innovation, and provides tools to promote the economic development of companies in the horticultural sector.
The partnership between VALHOR and the National Council of Villes et Villages Fleuris (CNVVF) Villes et Villages Fleuris of a shared goal: to promote the quality of floral displays, plant diversity, and the role of landscaping in regional planning. As part of this effort, VALHOR participates in the CNVVF’s governing bodies and key events, particularly its judging panels. It is also a partner of the National Plant Diversity Award.
This collaboration is a long-term effort aimed at enhancing the landscape in local communities.
SEMAE
The Interprofessional Association for Seeds and Seedlings
France is Europe's leading seed producer and the world's leading exporter of agricultural seeds.
SEMAE represents all stakeholders in the French seed and plant sector, bringing together 61 professional federations and associations. It supports the sector in addressing food security, climate, economic, and societal challenges. It also carries out public service missions related to production, inspection, and certification, in accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of Agriculture.
The partnership between SEMAE and the National Council of Villes et Villages Fleuris (CNVVF) Villes et Villages Fleuris of a long-standing collaboration. SEMAE is represented on the CNVVF’s governing bodies and is a partner in the national award for “community gardening and sustainable food.”
ATOUT FRANCE
The French Tourism Development Agency
As the government agency responsible for tourism development, Atout France works to enhance France’s appeal and competitiveness as a travel destination. It is committed to making France a global leader in sustainable tourism by 2030.
The agency promotes the quality and diversity of France’s tourism offerings and supports local regions in their development strategies by fostering professionalization and sustainable innovation to ensure a high-quality, sustainable, and accessible travel experience.
The partnership between Atout France and the National Council of Villes et Villages Fleuris of this shared goal. The two organizations are collaborating, in particular, on the development of digital tools designed to support the local governments in the network and to promote the label across the regions.
AMF
The Association of Mayors of France and Presidents of Intermunicipal Communities
Founded in 1907 and recognized as a public-interest organization in 1933, it is guided by the values and principles that have prevailed since its inception: respect for local autonomy; concrete and ongoing support for elected officials in their day-to-day management; and a constructive yet demanding partnership with the government in defending and promoting the interests of local governments.
Together, through this partnership, the AMF and the Villes et Villages Fleuris label Villes et Villages Fleuris a shared goal: to promote local initiatives, encourage best practices, and help make municipalities more sustainable, attractive, and resilient.
By strengthening their cooperation, the two organizations aim to support local elected officials, share best practices, and propose concrete solutions tailored to today’s environmental and societal challenges.
DEPARTMENTS OF FRANCE
The Association of Departmental Elected Officials
As an association of elected officials representing the departments, it brings together the presidents of its 103 member local governments, including 95 departments and 8 local governments with departmental-level authority. Its mission is to unite its members, represent the departments before public authorities, and promote the role and activities of the departments. From elected officials to permanent staff, the teams at Départements de France are actively engaged in constant interaction with all the departments, guided by two priorities: responsiveness and foresight.
The partnership with the National Council of Villes et Villages Fleuris of a shared commitment to encourage and promote sustainable development initiatives and improvements to the quality of life in local communities, including the greening of public spaces, the creation of cooling oases, sustainable resource management, and the preservation of biodiversity.
CITIES OF FRANCE
The Association of Elected Officials from Medium-Sized Cities and Their Intermunicipal Associations
Villes de France brings together cities with populations ranging from 10,000 to 100,000 and their intermunicipal associations. It works to amplify the voices of local elected officials and advocate for the interests of medium-sized cities before the government and members of parliament, to protect the interests of their territories and residents, and to provide technical and legal support.
The partnership with the CNVVF is part of this initiative. It aims to expand knowledge and foster the long-term development of new practices to address current challenges related to sustainability and resilience, while ensuring a pleasant and high-quality living environment. In this way, it helps preserve the way of life in medium-sized cities—which is increasingly popular among residents—and supports their vitality.
