How Can We Promote the Return of Nature to Municipalities?

On September 16 and 17, 2026, the National Council of Villes et Villages Fleuris CNVVF) will bring together elected officials, technical staff, and experts in Angers for its National Conference, organized as part of the Salon du Végétal. This 19th edition, themed “Nature in Our Communities: We’re All Stakeholders!”, will bring together expert perspectives and on-the-ground experiences to support the transformations taking place in local communities.

A record-breaking list of winners: 26 new municipalities have been awarded the 4th Flower, and 9 have earned the prestigious Golden Flower

For more than 65 years, the Villes et Villages Fleuris certification program Villes et Villages Fleuris and recognized municipalities in their efforts toward sustainable development. From April through July of this year, the 74 experts on the national jury visited 114 municipalities committed to improving their living environments. The 2025 list of winners highlights the remarkable commitment of communities—from small rural towns to large cities—that place greenery, heritage, and citizen participation at the heart of their initiatives.
