The National Council of Villes et Villages Fleuris CNVVF) held its 2024 National Awards Ceremony on December 3 at the Salle Gaveau in Paris. This flagship event, which drew more than 500 participants this year, celebrates local governments’ commitment to creating a sustainable, harmonious, and resilient living environment.
Thibaut Beauté, President of the CNVVF, and Julien Faivre, Director, awarded the renewal of the 4 Fleurs and 8 Fleurs d’Or designations to nearly 100 municipalities and welcomed 13 new 4 Fleurs recipients. They also recognized 4 departments for their floral displays and awarded 17 special prizes, in partnership with Atout France, Valhor, Semae, and Départements de France.
The event highlighted the tremendous work of the technical teams and gardeners who work every day to create sustainable spaces in their city by giving plants a central role in the design of public spaces.
Françoise Gatel, Minister Delegate for Rural Affairs, Commerce, and Crafts, honored the ceremony with an inspiring speech, highlighting the importance of plants as a driver of sustainable development and regional cohesion. Marina Ferrari, Minister Delegate for the Tourism Economy, also praised the positive impact of these initiatives in a video message.
