Current Status and Practices in Water Management and Conservation Strategies for Urban Green Spaces

To better understand trends in urban irrigation—in terms of water use, methods, organization, and communication with residents—Plante & Cité, in partnership with the CNVVF, is launching a national survey for municipalities.

Open through February 15, this survey will help define the scope of current practices and assess how they have evolved over the past 10 years.

Objectives:

  • To assess the current state of water resource management practices in French local governments (in terms of water conservation strategies and alternative water sources).
  • Gather feedback on best practices for designing green spaces and managing water to ensure the long-term viability of plantings and the benefits provided by plants.
  • Develop guidelines to assist in the design of green spaces and the conservation of water resources.

Target Audience: Water agencies, irrigation equipment manufacturers, engineering firms (soil and/or water), landscape architects, and public administrators (local governments).

Allow 45 minutes to complete the questionnaire.
