As we begin 2025, we are continuing our commitment to sustainably improving the quality of life by launching a major consultation with certified municipalities. This initiative is part of a process of reflection we began over a year ago regarding the label’s “purpose” and its future direction.
Planning Ahead to Better Support Municipalities
For 65 years, the Villes et Villages Fleuris certification program Villes et Villages Fleuris local governments enhance their communities and preserve their living environments. To remain a relevant tool in addressing current challenges—particularly those related to climate change—it is essential to adapt the program to meet the expectations of municipalities.
A Collaborative Approach at the Heart of Evolution
Following the various workshops conducted with the Villes et Villages Fleuris network, this consultation aims to gather the perceptions, priorities, feedback, and proposals of certified municipalities. These contributions will help enhance the certification program and strengthen its role in providing support and conducting comprehensive evaluations within public policy.
The survey, sent to the 4,700 certified municipalities, is open until March 14. The responses will be analyzed and discussed in detail at the network’s annual meeting to inform the discussion and determine the actions to be taken.
