Held in Lille on December 10, the D d’Or ceremony aims to recognize and highlight the collective efforts, work methods, and commitments that make departments strong. It honors initiatives, results, and regional approaches developed over the long term—an approach that is fully in line with that of the Villes et Villages Fleuris label.
Drawing on their expertise in land-use planning and environmental conservation, the departments play a key role within the program. They serve as a driving force in raising awareness, providing training, and supporting municipalities in their efforts to create a sustainable living environment.
President Thibaut Beauté delivered a unifying speech and presented several awards .
Congratulations to the 24 winners, and to the Var, voted the French people’s favorite department.
